New Crown — Don Cassian Korda

Korda doesn't move money. He changes what it appears to be.

Logistics & shadow accountingDiamond District

Origin story

Korda was an accountant before he was a Don, and he doesn't hide it — the reputation does half his work for him. Most Dons in the city build power through people or territory. Korda built his through the harder-to-see stuff: money routed through structures so layered that even his own accountants occasionally lose the thread.

New Crown started as a legitimate-looking logistics consultancy, "optimizing" invoices for Diamond District clients who only later realized every optimization left a cut with Korda — and that the structures he built gave him more control over their business than they had left themselves. By the time anyone notices, unwinding it costs more than staying quiet.

He wins arguments not by out-talking anyone but by making sure the other side never fully understood what they agreed to. His rivalry with The Table barely qualifies as rivalry — Arden's access is worthless without Korda's ability to erase the paper trail after, and his structures fall apart without her control over who can reach the real books.

Character

Korda speaks almost entirely in contracts and quarterly language, and the rare threat that surfaces arrives dressed as a clause, not a warning.

Notable moments

  • Restructured three bankrupt district businesses into hidden revenue streams for New Crown
  • Survived a fraud investigation by making the paper trail vanish three times before it reached court
