Origin story
Arden started out consulting on office security, back when Diamond District was still trying to convince the world it was a clean business address. She found the gap fast: every tower needed guards, and whoever held those contracts also knew exactly who walked into which building and when — leverage worth far more than the guard salaries themselves.
She didn't take The Table by force. She won it by underbidding, charming, and occasionally quietly undermining every rival security firm until hers became the district standard. Nearly every office tower in Diamond District carries her badge at the entrance now, a detail most visitors never notice and Arden never stops using.
She negotiates because war is expensive and bad for a district that runs on trust between businesses — herself included. Cross her, though, and a contract "under review" or a surprise inspection has a way of landing at the worst possible moment.
Character
Arden rarely raises her voice, because access does the talking for her — and everyone in the district knows exactly what that access can do.
